Course Outline
  • 1st day : Introduction to the course
  • 2nd day : ERP and history of the evolution, how to select and ERP and best practices in implementation. (Assignment- Case Study)
  • 3rd day : Introduction to SAP B1, basic UI introduction, how to login, Basic configuration such as general settings, authorizations, User creation and other master data creation.
  • 4th day : Sales Module (with CRM)
  • 5th day : Purchasing Module
  • 6th day : Inventory Module
  • 7th day : Production and Service Module
  • 8th day : Finance Module (Assignment – Case study to map business process with the system)
  • 9th day : How to create User Query, FMS, creating, Printing formats creations, basics of Report creation. (Assignment – Query creation project)
Objectives
  • Make awareness of Enterprise Resource Planning to anyone who interest in
  • Share the real practical best practices in implementations
  • Train on how to use SAP B1 modules
  • Basic understanding for Query writing and report creation.
Evaluation Criteria
  • Assignment 1 – Creating RFQ for given case study (10 marks)
  • Assignment 2 – Creating As-IS process for give case study (10 marks)
  • MCQ/Structured – 25 questions (50 marks)
  • Final project – Mapping given case study process in SAP B1 (30 marks)
  • Grading of the Marks are as follows:
    • More than 80 – Certificate for a “Merit Pass”
    • Between 50 to 79 – Certificate for a “Pass”
    • Less than 50 – Participation Letter

Vipula Silva, MBA (PIM-SJP), BSc (IT)

Vipula has worked in several Manufacturing and Service offering companies as senior IT positions and was able to led several ERP implementations projects. MBA from Postgraduate Institute of Management (2018-2020).

IT graduate from Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology. (2004-2009). He is currently working as Chief Technology Officer in an IT venture. And also, he is a trainer in the 3D modelling industry.
